Qualifications

  • BLS CPR certification by the American Heart Association required.
  • Completion of accredited Medical Assistant Program or 1 year of experience in lieu.
  • Must obtain a Medical Assistant credential within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and handle patient registration.
  • Schedule appointments and perform various office-related tasks.
  • Be flexible with work hours to accommodate travel between clinic sites.

Description:
Our Oak Park and Elmhurst office is looking for a full time Medical Assistant to work Monday through Friday and be flexible to travel between both clinic sites. Flexibility in scheduling is needed, hours as early as 7am on Tues, Wed alternating with later hours up to 7pm on Tues and 8pm on Thurs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • BLS CPR by the American Heart Association.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program, OR one year of Medical Assistant work experience can be substituted for the successful completion of an accredited medical assistant program.

In summary, the Medical Assistant's primary responsibilities include providing direct patient care, handling patient registration, scheduling appointments, and performing various office-related tasks.

Must obtain at least one (1) of the following Medical Assistant credentials within 6 months of hire date:

American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)

American Medical Technologists (AMT)

National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

National Healthcareer Association (NHA)

COMPENSATION

Pay Range: $19.25 - $26.81 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
