UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Medical Assistant for Primary Care in Mesa, AZ. You will support providers with back-office tasks, administer injections and tests, and ensure high-quality patient care. Overtime eligible with PTO, holidays, and a full benefits package.

Prerequisites include a Medical Assistant program or Military Medic background and CPR/BLS certification or readiness to obtain within 30 days. EMR experience with major systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or Military Medic program required.
• Current CPR and/or BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant performs a variety of back office activities to assist providers in conducting quality clinics, including administering injections, diagnostic testing, phlebotomy, quality surveys and various other procedures. Delivers exceptional customer service and maintains established quality control standards.

Required Qualifications:

• High school graduate or GED
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program, or Military Medic program
• Current CPR and / or BLS certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in an ambulatory care setting
• Experience with multiple EMR/EHR Systems such as EPIC, E-Clinical Works (ECW), Allscripts Practice Management (APM), NextGen, Cerner

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
