Job summary

Community Medical Centers is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and nurses in a Primary Care setting. The MA will take vital signs, assist with patient flow, and prepare patients for examinations at the Alluvial Clinic.

Needed are a CA Medical Board–approved MA program,/HSE or IEP certificate, and at least 3 months in a medical setting. Vaccination and CPR/BLS certification may be required. On-site responsibilities include injections and pre-exam testing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, HSE or IEP Certificate required.
• Completion of Medical Assistants program per California Medical Board required.
• 3 months of experience in the medical field required.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and document results.
• Distribute handouts to patients and assist with patient flow.
• Graph height, weight, and blood pressure as part of patient assessment.
• Provide injections and assist with procedures as directed by providers.
• Ensure prerequisite tests are completed prior to the doctor's examination.

Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant (MA) at our Community Health Partners - Primary Care Alluvial Clinic, supports the medical practice providers and nurses in providing medical or technical procedures and assists with patient flow and care. Specific duties include taking vital signs, giving handouts, graphing height, weight, blood-pressure, giving injections and ensuring that appropriate tests are completed prior to doctor's examination.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
• Completion of a course of study consistent with the requirements for Medical Assistants as specified by the Medical Board of California required
• 3 months of experience in the medical field required

Licenses and Certifications

• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
