Job summary

Prime Healthcare St Francis Primary Care Clinic in Chicago is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians with patient care, clerical tasks, and efficient chart management.

Full-time days, Monday–Friday, 6:30 am–5:30 pm, at 3048 W Peterson, Chicago. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; Medical Assistant certification is preferred, and current BLS is required at hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required at hire.
• Minimum one year of public-contact work experience.
• Work experience in health care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care and clinic tasks.
• Schedule appointments and manage charts.
• Provide information to patients to maximize use of clinic services.
• Convey a positive image of the organization.

Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental and organization tasks. Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management. Provides Information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services. Conveys a positive image of organization.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. High School Diploma or Equivalent or relevant experience required for new hires effective April 2014.

2. Medical Assistant Certification perferred.

3. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current

4. Minimum one year work experience in public contact job.

5. Work experience in health care preferred.
