MEDICAL ASSISTANT (MA), PRIMARY CARE, MIT Health, is responsible for assisting physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses with evaluation, management, and treatment of patients during and between office visits. Tasks include being the primary liaison between clinical staff and patients, preparing for patient visits, leading daily huddle sessions, managing Healthelife requests, ensuring patient comprehension of medical information, and following up to ensure treatment plan compliance.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: High School Diploma or equivalent; graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant program or Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA); minimum of 2 years of experience in a physician's office; current active BLS certification (with in-person component); excellent critical thinking, communication, interpersonal, diplomacy, organizational, and problem-solving skills; phlebotomy skills; ability to maintain CPR certification and participate in site-based CPR drills; ability to lift 15 pounds or more, including assisting with infants and children.
