Boston Medical Center in Brighton, CO is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the Primary Care Clinic team. The role supports a busy practice by rooming patients, taking vital signs, updating medical history and medications in the EMR, and preparing patients for visits.

Position Summary

This Medical Assistant functions as a member of the clinical team and completes assigned daily clinical tasks to ensure smooth day to day operations in the physician practice. Position: Medical Assistant Department: Primary Care Clinic Schedule: 9:30-6 pm. M-F Full Time

Essential Responsibilities / Duties
  • Assist the Practice Manager with scheduling and workflow coordination to ensure provider coverage and efficient practice operations.
  • Prepare patients for visits by rooming them, obtaining vital signs, documenting medical history, medications, pharmacy information, and chief complaints in the EMR.
  • Obtain required consents, complete visit-related forms, and maintain accurate patient documentation.
  • Perform in-office testing, EKGs, quality controls, specimen labeling, and assist providers with clinical procedures.
  • Manage assigned practice workflows, including pre-visit planning, dashboard management, charge entry, claim management, and clinical inbox support.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, prior authorizations, insurance referrals, and follow-up testing in accordance with practice guidelines.
  • Conduct pre-visit chart reviews, obtain necessary medical records, and perform patient outreach for quality and care initiatives.
  • Maintain clinical readiness by stocking exam rooms, monitoring supply expiration dates, and logging medication/vaccine refrigerator temperatures.
  • Provide administrative and customer service support by answering telephone calls, routing inquiries appropriately, and performing other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of experience as a medical

Compensation

Compensation Range: $17.79- $25.00 This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
