Job Description

The Medical Assistant (MA) II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. This role supports and floats throughout affiliated clinics in Northern LA County, including Agoura Hills, Burbank, Mission Hills, Santa Monica, Tarzana, Westlake Village, and West Hills. An MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for the assigned clinic/location of work, performing in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school with hands-on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants, or
• Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or
• Completed two years of medical training in the U.S. Armed Forces, or
• At least one year of work experience as a medical assistant with clinical skills such as vital signs, injections, and medication administration, or
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association, and
• Minimum six months healthcare and medical assistant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.

Compensation

Salary ranges from $23.15 to $35.42 per hour, depending on location and experience. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, and bonuses.
