Medical Assistant - Float Northern LA County

Supports and floats throughout affiliated clinics in the Northern LA County vicinity such as Agoura Hills, Burbank, Mission Hills, Santa Monica, Tarzana, Westlake Village, and West Hills.

The Medical Assistant (MA) II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for the assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

1. Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands-on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants, or
2. Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or
3. Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces, or
4. Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes clinical skills such as obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.

Additional requirements include:

• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• Six months healthcare experience.
• Six months medical assistant experience.

Preferred Qualification:

• National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.

Locations include Santa Monica, CA; Agoura Hills, CA; Burbank, CA; Mission Hills, CA; Tarzana, CA; Westlake Village, CA; West Hills, CA, with pay range from $23.15 to $35.42 per hour.
