Medical Assistant - PMI Float Northern LA County

Join our team as a Medical Assistant - PMI Float Northern LA County at Providence Health & Services.

Overview

This role involves supporting and floating across affiliated clinics in Northern LA County, including Agoura Hills, Burbank, Mission Hills, Santa Monica, Tarzana, Westlake Village, and West Hills. The Medical Assistant (MA) II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties that assist in providing patient care. The MA II performs all tasks of the MA I and is fully competent in clinical functions for designated clinics, adhering to policies, procedures, and regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school with hands-on clinical training in medical assisting, or
• Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or
• Completed two years of medical training in the U.S. Armed Forces, or
• At least one year of clinical experience as a medical assistant, including vital signs, injections, and medication administration, or
• Within 30 days of hire: BLS certification from the American Heart Association, and
• Minimum 6 months healthcare experience and 6 months medical assisting experience.

Preferred: National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.

Compensation

Salary ranges from $23.15 to $35.42 per hour, depending on location and experience. Additional incentives may apply.
