Medical Assistant - SJPP Float Northern LA County

Join our team as a Medical Assistant - SJPP Float Northern LA County at Providence.

Job Overview

Supports and floats throughout affiliated clinics in Northern LA County, including Agoura Hills, Burbank, Mission Hills, Santa Monica, Tarzana, Westlake Village, and West Hills.

The Medical Assistant (MA) II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties that assist in providing patient care. This role performs all responsibilities of an MA I and is fully competent in clinical tasks for the assigned clinic or location, adhering to established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program with hands-on clinical training, or
• Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or
• Completed two years of medical training in the U.S. Armed Forces, or
• At least one year of work experience as a medical assistant, including vital signs, injections, and medication administration.

Must obtain American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Minimum of 6 months healthcare experience and 6 months medical assistant experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.

Compensation

Salary ranges from $23.15 to $35.42 per hour, depending on location and experience. Additional incentives such as shift differentials and bonuses may apply.
