Job summary

Sentara Center for Plastic Surgery in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Medical Assistant (non-certified) to support patient care and administrative tasks. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional float to other sites as needed.

Prior patient care experience is highly preferred and certification must be obtained within nine months. One year of clinical/administrative experience is required; phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical/administrative experience required.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care and assist under supervision.
• Handle administrative and clerical tasks.
• Assist physicians, NP/PA, RN, or LPN as needed.
• Occasional float to other offices may be required.
