Job summary

Quincy Medical Group in Pittsfield, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and patients throughout the clinic day. You will perform clinical tasks, obtain vital signs, and coordinate follow-up to ensure a welcoming and efficient visit.

The ideal candidate has a High school diploma or GED, Medical Assistant certification or experience, CPR/BLS certification, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medications, medical history, and other clinical information.

• Administer medications and injections as directed and within scope.
• Respond to patient messages and communicate provider instructions and follow-up information.
• Coordinate referrals, laboratory work, imaging, prescriptions, prior authorizations, and follow-up care as assigned.
• Provide patients with education and instructions as directed by the provider.
• Document patient care and communication in the electronic medical record.
• Maintain examination rooms, equipment, and supplies and support efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.
