Job summary

Preferred Primary Care Physicians is hiring a Full Time Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist for our Green Tree practice at 300 Fleet St, Pittsburgh, PA 15220. The ideal candidate has front and back office experience and phlebotomy skills, with certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program.
• Six months of medical assistant experience preferred; new grads considered.
• Phlebotomy certification with rooming, vitals, and injections experience required.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and record vitals and basic data.
• Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as directed.
• Answer and return patient calls; coordinate prescriptions and referrals.
• Obtain patient records, lab results and diagnostic data as needed.
• Assist with exams, procedures, tests and follow-up scheduling.
