Job summary

Preferred Primary Care Physicians in Washington, PA is seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant to support physicians and nurses with patient care, rooming patients, taking vitals, injections, and basic clerical tasks. Phlebotomy training is a huge plus, and willingness to take on front office duties is encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; graduate from an accredited medical assistant program.
• 6 months medical assistant experience preferred; open to new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses with patient care.
• Room patients and record vital signs, allergies, medications, chief complaint.
• Administer injections as directed; obtain blood specimens.
• Handle scheduling, chart management, and clerical tasks as needed.
• Communicate with pharmacies for prescriptions and referrals.
• Maintain exam and treatment rooms and restock supplies.
