Hegg Health Center in Rock Valley, IA is seeking a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to support laboratory staff by performing venipunctures, fingersticks, and specimen collection. The role includes instrument maintenance, filing, and general tasks as assigned.
Qualified candidates hold CPT certification or phlebotomy training, or have 3–6 months related experience. On-site training provided to ensure proper laboratory practices are followed.

The Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist assists the laboratory staff by performing venipunctures, fingersticks, heelsticks, collection of swabs, instrument maintenance, filing, charging, and other tasks as needed and assigned.
Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification; or Phlebotomy Technician training completion from a state endorsed, program accredited college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred but not required. Suitable candidate will be trained by laboratory staff in phlebotomy, specimen collection, and laboratory practices.
Annual influenza vaccinations are mandatory for all employees by December 1, unless a medical waiver is signed and approved. Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and every 3 years thereafter.
