Spero Health, Inc. is recruiting a Medical Assistant to join an integrated care team in Plymouth, MA. You will schedule appointments, check patients in/out, take vitals, perform urine drug screens, assist with evaluations, and input data into the Electronic Health Record.

The role also involves processing prior authorizations, collecting payments, verifying benefits, and educating patients about medications, with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Competenze

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred.
• 1-3 years as a Medical Assistant or similar role.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Lab experience preferred.
• Experience with injections preferred.
• Must obtain CPR certification.

Mansioni

• Schedule patient appointments.
• Answer incoming calls and check voice messages.
• Check patients in/out and monitor patient flow.
• Perform urine drug screens, take vitals, assist with patient evaluations.
• Call in patient medications as directed by Physician.
• Input accurate patient information into EHR.

The Medical Assistant responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Scheduling patient appointments.

• Check patients in/out, monitor patient flow.
• Perform urine drug screens, takes vitals, assist with patient evaluations.
• Call in patient medication as directed by Physician.
• Input accurate patient information into electronic health record.
• Sending prior-authorizations to insurance companies.
• Perform daily financial summary and balance of payments received.

Requirements

Education:

• High School Diploma required
• Graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assisting preferred

Experience:

• 1-3 years as a Medical Assistant (or similar type role)
• Phlebotomy Certification Preferred
• Lab experience preferred
• Experience with injections preferred
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification
