An established industry player in healthcare is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join their expanding Community Care clinic. Under the direct supervision of the clinic manager and the general supervision of the clinic providers and licensed nursing staff, performs work requiring specific knowledge and training in patient care duties within the business and professions code of California and/or The Joint Commission (TJC) regulations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: scheduling patient appointments and managing associated system screens; accurate billing; environmental care; equipment and supply management; and cleaning/disinfecting the environment. The role requires knowledge of medical terminology, online scheduling, universal precautions, and proper body mechanics. The position demands initiative, prioritization skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team. Other related duties may be assigned.
Due to our expanding Community Care clinic, the position will require floating to North County and other clinics throughout San Diego. Willingness to travel is essential.
Annual Full Pay Range: $57,671 (prorated if less than 100% appointment)
Hourly Rate: $27.62
Compensation factors include experience, skills, knowledge, education, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs. The referenced pay scale reflects the budgeted salary or hourly range, which may vary based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements.
