As a Medical Assistant, you will collaborate with staff to create a welcoming environment for patients, families, and visitors. Your duties include medication management, patient monitoring, administrative tasks, and more, all contributing to optimal health outcomes.

This position involves rotating shifts, weekly, among nursing team, from 7:30-4:00/8:00-4:30/8:30-5:00/5:00-5:30.

A successful candidate will:

1. Assist with screenings and treatments, gather and update health information, identify medication changes, update allergy information, collect specimens, perform tests, and document patient care.
2. Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
3. Maintain equipment, supplies, and examination areas.
4. Perform administrative duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and registration.

Minimum qualifications include:

1. Graduate from an approved Medical Assisting Program or military training as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W), or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1).
2. Completion of a clinical externship or extensive clinical experience.
3. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) within the new hire period.

Preferred qualifications include:

1. Medical Assisting Certification.
2. Completion of a Cleveland Clinic externship.
3. American Academy of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Certification.
4. Pediatric experience.

Physical requirements include:

• Manual dexterity for operating office equipment.
• Extended periods of standing, walking, or sitting.
• Normal or corrected visual acuity.
• Light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally.
• Ability to work at a production pace, involving pushing and pulling activities.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Use of PPE as required, following standard precautions.
