Medical Assistant Part-Time General Surgery Geauga - ( 240003VY )

This position is responsible for fully performing basic Medical Assistant duties.

• Facilitates unit operations by managing patient flow.
• Responsible for all front desk duties specific to department, including scheduling patients, collecting and verifying patient payor information and other patient documentation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
• Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

Experience:

• 1 year of MA experience preferred but not required

Education:

• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program Required

• Able to communicate effectively with people from varied socioeconomic backgrounds. Required
