Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England's Pediatrics Specialty Practice is hiring a Medical Assistant to prepare patients for visits, escort to treatment rooms, and document information in charts. You will perform history taking, document vital signs, file lab results, coordinate patient flow, and support front desk tasks.

This outpatient role offers day shift, full-time status, and benefits from day one. Join a team of primary care providers and specialists serving patients across CT and western MA;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of six months related work experience is required.
• Associates degree in Medical Assistance preferred; National Certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares exam and treatment rooms. Prepares patients for examination and treatment.
• Obtains pertinent history, enters into the medical record including chief complaint, medical and surgical history, allergies, medications, and appropriate review of systems, and takes/documents patient vital signs.
• Processes and files lab/diagnostic test results, correspondence, clinical notes in patients’ chart after they have been reviewed by the physician.
• Coordinates patient flow in the office. Collaborates with receptionist to make certain that patients are seen in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assists front office personnel by answering the telephone, scheduling patient appointments, and other tasks as needed.

Come and join this dynamic team in our Pediatrics Specialty Practice where you would be responsible for preparing patients for office visits, performing tasks including escorting patient to treatment rooms, obtaining pertinent patient information for medical records, and documenting information in patients’ chart.

This position supports an outpatient Pediatrics Specialty Practice.

What you will do:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Knowledge of medical assisting normally associated with obtaining an Associate’s Degree in Medical Assistance is preferred, National Certification as a Medical Assistant a plus

Pay Range: $18.00 - $26.10

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
