Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assisting program preferred but not required.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT, AAMA, ARMA, CCMA, CMA, MAC, AMCA) preferred but not required.
• One year of work experience in a medical office or related field required; on-the-job training provided for those without MA training or experience.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments and complete patient registration
• Provide front office support and verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort to exam room; document vital signs and reason for visit
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required
