Endeavor Health is hiring a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant for the Gynecologic Oncology clinic in Evanston, IL. This full‑time role supports front desk operations, patient flow, and basic clinical tasks with a Monday–Friday schedule and no weekends.

Competitive hourly pay based on experience. Primary duties include calling patients, scheduling, registrations, insurance verification, and assisting clinicians with vitals and injections as needed.

Formación

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; graduate from accredited medical assisting program preferred.
• Certification: CPR certification through the AHA required; MA certification (AMT or AAMA) preferred.
• Experience: At least 1 year in a medical office; on‑the‑job training available for those without prior MA training.

• Schedule appointments.
• Collect co-payments.
• Complete patient registration.
• Provide front office support to the physician practice.
• Check in and check out patients.
• Verify insurances.
• Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms.
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications, and reason for visit.
• Provide front office support as needed.
• Record basic vitals (BP, height, weight).
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required.

Position Highlights

Hourly Pay Range: $19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position: Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant - Gynecologic Oncology

Location: Evanston Hospital - Evanston, IL

Full Time | 40 hours/week

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am - 4:30pm/8:30am-5pm, no weekends or holidays. Schedule will be based on clinical needs.

• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required

What you will need

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred.
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred.
• Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
