Endeavor Health in Arlington Heights seeks a Medical Assistant / Patient Support Assistant (GI) to join our team. You will handle front desk tasks, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, and assist with patient registrations and basic clinical support.

Requirements include a high school diploma, CPR certification, and one year of medical office experience; on-the-job training is provided. This is a full-time role with growth potential within a large healthcare network.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; accredited medical assisting program preferred, but not required.
• Certification: CPR through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant certification preferred, but not required.
• Experience: One year of work experience required; prior medical office experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and schedule appointments.
• Collect co-payments and complete patient registration.
• Provide front office support and assist physician practice.
• Check in/out patients and greet them to exam rooms.
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and visit reason.
• Verify insurances and complete administrative tasks.
• Injections may be required as part of clinical support.

Hourly Pay Range:

$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Medical Assistant / Patient Support Assistant (dual role) - GI
• Location: 2101 S Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights
• Full Time: 40 hours/ week
• Hours: Varies Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Typically 8- hour shifts.
• Travel Required:15 S. McHenry Rd, Buffalo Grove & 880 W Central Rd, Arlington Heights & 519 S. Roselle Rd, Schaumburg & 21481 N Rand Rd, Kildeer
• This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs.

What you will do:

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patient
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform full vital signs
• Injections may be required

What you will need:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT, AAMA, ARMA, CCMA, CMA, MAC, AMCA) is preferred, but not required
• Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience
