Job description

Medical Assistant / Patient Services Coordinator

Johnson City, Tennessee | Part-Time | Onsite | Up to 20 Hours/Week

Bring Your Personality. Bring Your Energy. Make an Impact.

Are you the person who can walk into a room and instantly make people feel comfortable?

Do you love talking to people, staying busy, and being part of a team where every day is a little different?

If you're friendly, energetic, dependable, and genuinely enjoy helping people, we want you on our team.

At Low T, we're creating a healthcare experience that feels different. Our clinics are welcoming, upbeat, and patient-focused - and we're looking for someone who brings that same energy to work every day.

This is not a sit-behind-the-desk-and-watch-the-clock kind of job.

You'll be greeting patients, answering questions, supporting providers, helping in the clinical area, handling front-office responsibilities, and doing whatever it takes to keep the clinic running smoothly.

You'll stay busy. You'll learn a lot. You'll meet a lot of people. And you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in someone's day.

If that sounds like your kind of workplace, keep reading.

What You'll Be Doing
Be the Face of the Clinic

You'll be one of the first people our patients interact with - and we want that experience to be a great one.

You'll:

  • Welcome patients with a warm, confident, and positive attitude
  • Check patients in and make them feel comfortable from the moment they arrive
  • Answer phones, messages, and patient questions
  • Help patients understand insurance benefits, payments, and costs
  • Process payments and maintain accurate patient information
  • Assist with scheduling and daily administrative tasks
  • Keep the front desk and waiting area clean, organized, and welcoming
  • Jump in wherever you're needed to keep the clinic moving
Get Hands-On in the Clinical Area

You'll also have the opportunity to work directly with patients and providers while supporting day-to-day clinical operations.

You'll:

  • Obtain and document patient vital signs
  • Perform phlebotomy and injections independently
  • Assist providers with clinical procedures
  • Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing according to protocol
  • Prepare lab requisitions and patient plans
  • Room patients efficiently and help keep patient flow moving
  • Clean, stock, and organize exam rooms
  • Process patient specimens according to established protocols
  • Complete required clinical documentation and quality-control logs
  • Help maintain equipment, supplies, and inventory
Who Are We Looking For?

Honestly? We're looking for a great person.

We care about your experience, but we also care about your personality, your attitude, and the way you treat people.

You could be a great fit if you are:

  • Energetic and naturally positive
  • Friendly and comfortable talking with all kinds of people
  • Compassionate and genuinely patient-focused
  • Dependable and someone your team can count on
  • A quick learner who isn't afraid to ask questions
  • Comfortable juggling multiple responsibilities
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable learning new technology and systems
  • Willing to jump in and help wherever needed
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Someone who brings a positive attitude even when the clinic gets busy
What You Bring
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • At least 6 months of back-office Medical Assistant experience OR a completed externship
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred
  • Ability to perform phlebotomy and injections independently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine desire to help patients feel comfortable, respected, and cared for
