Job summary

VIPcare is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support under a physician, PA, or APRN. You will prepare patients, perform procedures, document encounters in the EMR, and support care coordination within a value-based care model emphasizing preventive services.

The role requires MA training with CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA certification preferred, CPR/BLS, and prior experience in a physician practice or outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or equivalent certification).
• 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience in a similar setting preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required or obtained within organizational guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and prepare them for provider examinations by documenting medical history and other clinical information in the EMR.
• Measure vital signs and assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy and basic in-office diagnostic testing (EKG, vision, spirometry).
• Document encounters, communicate with patients, and support care coordination and preventive services.
