Job summary

VIPcare is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide both clinical and administrative support in a Medicare-focused primary care setting. Under supervision of physicians and APPs, you will prepare patients, document histories, perform routine procedures, and support front-office operations to ensure safe, patient-centered care.

The role emphasizes value-based care, preventive services, and coordination of care for Medicare Advantage patients. Strong EMR, communication, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; MA program preferred or CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA equivalent.
• One year of MA experience in a physician practice or ambulatory setting preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification current or obtainable per guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and prepare them for provider examinations and document history in EMR.
• Measure and document vital signs and other clinical observations.
• Assist providers during examinations and in-office procedures.
• Explain treatment plans and follow-up care to patients.
• Coordinate front office duties including scheduling, registration, and referrals.
• Maintain infection prevention standards and perform CLIA-waived testing as directed.
