Job summary

Neighborhood Health Center in Oregon is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our on-site team. You will perform patient intake, vital signs, blood draws, injections, and EHR data entry within a patient-centered medical home.

The role requires a completed MA program, a high school diploma, and BLS certification, with Spanish language skills highly preferred. Experience with EPIC is a plus, and the clinic supports ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant program required.
  • Certification as Medical Assistant preferred if not already held.
  • Spanish language ability highly preferred.
  • Active BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Experience with EPIC or similar EHR system preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-visit procedures: scrub charts, verify labs, update records, obtain medical records, huddle with provider.
  • Prepare exam rooms and equipment for visits.
  • Greet and room patients professionally.
  • Take vital signs and collect health history and demographics.
  • Assist with procedures and injections.
  • Input patient data into EHR accurately and timely.
  • Administer medications as authorized.
  • Perform CLIA-waived lab tests and handle QA
  • Inventory management and cleanliness of rooms, equipment, and instruments.
  • Educate patients and provide after-visit summaries.
  • Coordinate referrals and scheduling; assist at other clinics as needed.
