Job summary

Praxis Health’s Thurston Medical Clinic in Springfield, OR is seeking a reliable Medical Assistant to support clinicians and ensure smooth patient care. You will room patients, obtain vitals, document visits, and assist with procedures in a fast-paced clinic.

The ideal candidate has a Medical Assisting diploma (or equivalent), at least 1 year of MA or CNA experience, strong patient service skills, and is comfortable with EMR systems and prior authorizations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assisting diploma from an accredited program preferred.
• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant or CNA experience.
• Ability to multi-task and support multiple providers.
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
• BLS certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire).
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain vitals, medical history, and allergy updates.
• Accurately document in EMR/EHR.
• Assist providers with clinical procedures and testing.
• Manage prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription support.
• Support daily team flow and assist patients and staff.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment.
