Job summary

MyCare Medical in Florida seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to support physicians in delivering healthcare services. You will record patient data, prepare for examinations, and perform tests such as EKGs and venipunctures, while assisting with injections and minor procedures.

Maintain clean, stocked rooms and ensure accurate documentation. The ideal candidate has an MA certification and solid clinical skills, including basic venipuncture techniques and medical terminology.

Qualifications

• Requires Medical Assistant Certification or equivalent experience with direct patient contact
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and safe work practices in a clinical setting
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Identify patients’ chief complaints and record observations in the medical record
• Administer routine tests and prepare patients for examinations
• Perform vital signs and vision tests; document results
• Conduct tests and procedures such as EKGs, venipunctures, and urinalysis
• Assist physicians with injections, wound care, minor procedures, and pelvic exams
• Maintain sterile equipment and stock rooms; manage inventory
• Transcribe orders and communicate with pharmacies; follow up on messages
• Notify patients of changes ordered by physicians; manage patient flow
• Triage patients and assist more than one physician as needed
• Comply with HIPAA and OSHA policies
