Job summary

MyCare Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in delivering quality healthcare. You will handle patient intake, prepare exam rooms, record vital signs, and assist with procedures and injections under supervision.

The ideal candidate has a Medical Assistant Certificate or 1 year of healthcare experience, with basic medical terminology and privacy compliance. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

Medical Assistant Certificate or 1 year healthcare experience or equivalent mix.
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.
Basic medical terminology, arithmetic, safe vein puncture techniques, and safe clinic practices.

Responsibilities

Identify patients’ chief complaints and record observations in the medical record.
Assist patients with medical history forms and prepare for examinations and treatments.
Record vital signs, height, weight, and vision tests.
Perform tests and procedures as directed (EKG, urine tests, glucometer, etc.).
Assist in injections, wound care, minor procedures, and IUD insertions.
Maintain sterile equipment, stock rooms, and inventory.
Transcribe orders and manage pharmacy communications daily.
Notify patients of changes ordered by physicians.
Ensure charts, labs, prescriptions, and diagnostics are signed daily.
Manage patient flow and triage at check-in.
