Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate; 5 years’ experience in a public health care setting or Medical Assistant training required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; able to work in a team.
• Proficiency with EHR systems, MS Word, Excel, and general internet usage.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare for MD/APRN.
• Verify patient information by interviewing and reviewing medical history.
• Accurately obtain and record vital signs.
• Perform office procedures (CLIA-waived testing, EKG, phlebotomy, spirometry).
• Maintain orderly systems to ensure timely patient flow.
• Ensure lab results are reviewed and disseminated by the provider.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and care coordination.
• Maintain logs and cleanliness of equipment and environment.
