Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Florida seeks a Medical Assistant to support ambulatory care under physician supervision. You will contribute to direct and indirect patient care as part of the care team, following patient plans and clinic procedures.

Responsibilities include collaborating with RNs and physicians, maintaining EMR documentation, and adapting to staffing needs while delivering compassionate patient service. A valid MA credential and BLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Florida: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Graduate from a Medical Assistant diploma or associate degree program or hold an active CMA/RMA/CCMA certification.
• Active CMA/RMA/CCMA preferred if MA program completed; if education not completed certification is required.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience in a team environment; computer proficiency with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned direct and indirect care tasks in ambulatory settings under physician supervision.
• Collaborate with the health care team and follow patient care plans and procedures.
• Operate within laws and organizational policies for unlicensed personnel duties.
• Demonstrate relationship-based care and adapt to staffing needs.
