Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform assigned tasks in the ambulatory setting under physician supervision. You will be part of a health care team and support patient care plans, while handling duties within the scope of unlicensed personnel.

Position offers daytime hours, a full-time schedule, and the potential for floating to other practices/sites as workload demands. Competitive compensation with comprehensive benefit plans is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Graduate from Medical Assistant diploma or associate degree or hold CMA/RMA/CCMA certification.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience in a team environment.
• Computer proficiency including EMR systems.
• Daytime hours with flexibility as needed.
• Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under physician supervision.
• Participate as a health care team member and accept delegation.
• Follow patient care plans, policies and procedures, and relationship-based care.
• Perform tasks within scope of unlicensed health care personnel.
