Job summary

Summit Health, in Hartford, CT, seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs, and NPs with clerical duties, patient flow, and care procedures. You will prepare examination rooms, document vitals in the EHR, manage referrals in the PMS, and ensure accurate scheduling and communications across teams.

Ideal candidates have a medical assisting background with formal training, BLS is preferred, and strong English communication and multitasking abilities are essential for delivering

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program, required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner, required.
• Basic proficiency in computer use, required.
• Ability to commute to satellite offices as needed, required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares examination rooms and assists in patient flow.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and accurate scheduling.
• Documents vital signs and patient information in EHR.
• Maintains supplies and assists in ordering as needed.
• Supports care transitions and coordination with care teams.
