Job summary

DermDox Group is seeking a Medical Assistant in Pennsylvania to support providers during examinations and procedures. You will obtain patient records, prepare treatment rooms, and assist with various procedures while maintaining EMR documentation and patient communication.

The ideal candidate has a Medical Assistant certification, 1–3 years of relevant experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and a professional demeanor to support a busy clinical environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Certification from a Medical Assistant Program required.
• 1-3 years of relevant medical/surgical practice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and update patient information into EMR system.
• Transcribe for providers during exams.
• Assist with biopsies and select surgical procedures.
• Educate patients on treatment plans.
• Assist with cosmetic procedures.
• Complete prior authorizations for prescriptions, biologics, and procedures.
• Stock rooms with necessary supplies.
• Report biopsy, culture and lab results to patients as directed by provider.
• Sanitize work areas throughout the day and after each patient.
• Send visit notes to referring provider/PCP.
• Answer calls when not in a room with a provider.
• Assist office staff with front-end tasks if needed.
