Job summary

CareNow - Preston & Frontier MSO is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant to join our team and support patient care with a patient-centered approach.

The successful candidate will prepare patients for exams, assist with procedures, manage room readiness, and help with lab work and vaccinations. Experience with EHRs and completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program are preferred. We offer a competitive benefits package and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting is preferred.
• Experience using an EHR system is very helpful.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assisting or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• AAMA certification is helpful; ability to obtain required screenings within 30 days of start preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies and equipment, including sterilization.
• Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Assist physicians with splints, dressings, and bandages.
• Assist with transfers and scheduling of follow-up care.
• Coordinate patient physicals and workplace injuries for partner accounts.
• Screen incoming calls for referrals to physicians and practitioners.
