Job summary

Virtua Health in Moorestown, NJ is hiring a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in patient exams, collect vital signs, perform phlebotomy and vaccines, and assist with front desk duties. This on-site role requires HS diploma, MA program graduate, and current MA certification with BLS.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of similar job experience in a medical office preferred.
• HS diploma or equivalent; graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current certification/registration as a Medical Assistant; BLS Certification required.
• In the state of DE, certification is required within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and chief complaint and prepping exam room.
• Performs phlebotomy and vaccinations; completes required documentation; conducts diagnostic tests under physician supervision.
• Screens/directs patient calls per protocol; informs patients about prescriptions and tests.
• Performs daily regulatory testing to ensure equipment accuracy and compliance.
• Maintains par level of clinical supplies for facility.
• Performs front desk duties including patient registration, billing, and scheduling.
