Job summary

Virtua Health in Camden, NJ is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support the clinical team. You will prepare patients for exams, perform phlebotomy and vaccines, and assist with clinical tasks under physician supervision.

Also duties include front desk tasks such as registration and scheduling, with a 30-hour week on-site. Qualifications include 1–3 years in a medical office, HS diploma, MA program graduate, current MA certification, and BLS.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of medical office experience preferred.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current certification/registration as a Medical Assistant.
• BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and chief complaint.
• Performs phlebotomy, vaccines, and required documentation; conducts diagnostic tests under physician supervision.
• Screens and directs patient calls; communicates prescriptions and results as directed by the physician.
• Performs daily regulatory testing to ensure equipment accuracy and compliance.
• Maintains par level of clinical supplies for facility.
• Performs front desk duties including patient registration, billing, and scheduling.
