Virtua Health in Camden, NJ is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support clinical staff. Duties include obtaining vitals, assisting with exams, phlebotomy, vaccinations, EKGs, and front desk tasks such as scheduling and billing.

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent and graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program, with MA certification and BLS. 1–3 years in a medical office is preferred. Hourly rate shown below reflects market compensation.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current certification/registration as a Medical Assistant.
• BLS Certification required.
• 1–3 years of similar job experience in a medical office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam by obtaining vitals and chief complaint and gets exam room ready.
• Performs phlebotomy, vaccines, and diagnostic tests under physician supervision.
• Screens and directs patient calls and communicates prescriptions/testing results.
• Performs daily regulatory testing and maintains clinical supplies.
• Handles front desk duties including registration, billing, and scheduling.
