Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians with patient care, vital signs, phlebotomy, and exam assistance. The role includes front desk coverage and preparation of exam rooms while maintaining accurate EMR documentation.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and a Medical Assistant certificate, with at least 1 year of medical experience. Travel to other facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology required.
• Experience with patient check in and check out procedures.
• Minimum of 1 year of medical experience preferred.
• Reliable, responsible, dependable.
• Detail-oriented and thorough in completing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Documentation recorded in Electronic Medical Records in accordance with MPA guidelines.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Assists in covering front desk as required.
• General medical procedures.
• Understand end of day cash balancing and charge reconciliations process.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Travels to and works at other facilities are requested.
