Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Medical Assistant at Albert Einstein Medical Center in East Norriton, PA to support physicians with patient exams, EKGs, venipuncture and vital signs. You will manage patient flow, document care and ensure HIPAA compliance while maintaining supplies.

The role requires HS diploma, MA certification within 6 months, and BLS within 90 days. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential in a busy office environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Familiarity with medical office procedures.
• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire (AHA preferred).

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
• Escorts patients to exam rooms and ensures proper identification.
• Performs and documents vital signs, medical history information.
• Maintains knowledge of IT systems within scope of practice.
• Assists physicians with examinations and diagnostic procedures including EKG and venipuncture.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
• Orders clinical supplies to maintain inventory and support operations.
