Job summary

Advocate Health's Aurora Medical Group in Park Ridge is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time, M-F role with 40 hours weekly. The schedule is 8 or 9 am start, with an end around 4:30–5:30 pm, in a dynamic ambulatory care setting.

You will support providers, greet patients, take vital signs, collect medical histories, prepare for exams, administer vaccines as directed, perform lab tasks, document in the EHR, and collaborate with the care team to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience, to qualify.

Responsibilities

• Support providers, connect with patients, and help ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.
• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
