Qualifications

• Must have completed a Medical Assistant program.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Must have or be able to obtain Medication Aide License through Nebraska registry.
• Electronic Health Record preferred.
• Strong computer skills required.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Highly organized, attentive to detail, quality and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medical treatment room and set up patient care equipment.
• Complete records by recording patient examination, treatment, and test results.
• Keep exam rooms stocked with proper supplies.
• Keep equipment operating; troubleshoot, maintain, and call for repairs as needed.
• Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and regulations.
• Prepare patients for tests or treatments.
• Use sanitation practices in health care settings.
• Support patient care by assisting providers during examinations and preparing specimens.
• Record medical history and verify patient information.
• Weigh patients and take vital signs.
• Educate patients with medication and diet information and instructions.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Serve and protect providers by adhering to standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with health professionals to manage patient care and treatment decisions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
