Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to keep daily operations smooth and support the clinical team. You will proactively prepare patient charts, obtain up-to-date information, and assist with exams under Provider supervision.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, medication administration, EMR documentation, room preparation, and scheduling referrals as needed. Prior experience is preferred, with a strong focus on patient care and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required at hire.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or validated equivalent.
• WA Medical Assistant Certification required at hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.
• Preferred: 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prep patients; record vitals and relevant info for visits.
• Perform basic lab, phlebotomy, EKGs and administer meds as directed.
• Document visits in the electronic medical record accurately.
• Review medical documentation for accuracy and consistency.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments; keep rooms stocked and clean.
• Schedule appointments and referrals as instructed.
