Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to keep the day running smoothly for patients and the clinical team. You will lead in preparing patient charts and ensuring information is up-to-date for those seen in our facility.

You will greet patients, record vital signs, assist with examinations, perform basic lab tasks, and document in the electronic medical record under provider supervision. This role requires empathy and efficiency.

Formación

• High School graduate or GED upon hire
• Medical Assistant certification WA upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR upon hire
• Other completion of a Medical Assistant certification program or equivalent training upon hire

Responsabilidades

• Greets and prepares patients for practitioner visit; obtains and records vital signs and other information; assists with examinations under Provider supervision.
• Performs basic lab procedures, draws blood, performs EKGs, and administers medications under supervision.
• Documents visits and procedures in the electronic medical record according to procedures.
• Enters patient history, education, diagnoses, prescriptions, and follow-up instructions into the chart.
• Reviews medical documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency in the medical record.
