Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for East Charlotte Family Physicians - Family Medicine. This part-time role supports patient rooming, vital signs, history taking, and basic screenings, with duties aligned to MA scope.

Schedule: M-F, 8-5, as needed; pay range $21.85–$32.80 per hour. Minimum education includes a high school diploma or GED and MA program completion; BLS certification is required within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent military training.
• BLS certification required; obtain within 45 days where indicated.
• No prior experience required.
• Proficient in EMR systems and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient rooming, vital signs, and medical history.
• Assist provider with procedures and order lab tests.
• Venipuncture, specimen labeling, and results tracking.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Maintain inventory, scheduling, and referrals as needed.
• Comply with CLIA standards and safety policies.
