Job summary

Sun River Health in the Bronx, NY is seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant to support our hub location. You will assist patients and the clinical team with rooming, vital signs, and basic lab work, while maintaining a clean, organized clinical area and documenting data in eCW.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED with a Medical Assistant certificate; 0-1 year experience preferred. Bilingual Spanish is preferred to support our diverse patient base and ensure quality care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with Medical Assistant Training Certificate
• Bilingual Spanish preferred
• 0-1 year related work experience may be acceptable

Responsibilities

• Completes the rooming process and takes vital signs and tests, documenting data in the electronic chart
• Performs in-house labs and collects specimens for outside labs, following protocols
• Keeps clinical area stocked and organized; ensures logs are maintained and supplies updated
• Cleans and sterilizes equipment and records each service
• Performs basic clerical tasks and handles patient inquiries over the phone
• Maintains all required logs and communicates issues to nursing staff
