Job summary

Sun River Health is seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant to support the Bronx Boulevard location. The Medical Assistant will assist providers and the clinical team, prepare patients for examinations, document in the EHR, and help maintain a safe, organized clinical environment.

Candidates with a High School diploma and MA training are preferred; relevant experience or certification is a plus. This on-site role supports high-quality, patient-centered care in a Federally Qualified Health Center

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred.
• Previous Medical Assistant or related clinical experience preferred.
• National Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Assist providers and clinical staff during visits and procedures.
• Support patient flow by preparing examination rooms and stocking supplies.
• Accurately document patient information in the EHR.
• Assist with scheduling, referrals, and follow-up activities.
