Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care and clinical support across multiple clinic locations, primarily in Appleton, WI. You will room patients, document findings in the EMR, and assist providers during visits.

The role offers growth opportunities into specialized clinical areas, with a Monday–Friday schedule, full-time contract-to-hire, and a pay range of $20.00–$25.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Formal medical assistant education and clinical rotations welcomed or 2+ years MA experience.
• CMA or RMA credentials preferred.
• Familiarity with Epic or similar EMR systems.
• Ability to adapt to different providers, workflows, and clinic locations.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration with clinical and admin staff.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare examination rooms with necessary equipment.
• Document patient histories and findings in the EMR, including Epic.
• Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications.
• Deliver surgical and pre/post‑procedure instructions as directed.
• Assist providers with in‑room scribing and real-time notes.
• Support physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Order laboratory tests and follow clinic protocols.
• Maintain up‑to‑date medical records and follow-up docs.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals and procedures.
• Monitor test results and communicate changes to staff.
• Ensure a clean, safe, welcoming clinic environment.
• Float between locations to support a new PA as schedules develop.
• Collaborate with care team to maintain high standard of care.
