Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant for the VH PRIMARY CARE | INWOOD site. You will work under supervision, perform MA tasks, and educate patients while supporting physicians and clinicians.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 1 year of clinical experience or a MA certification, and BLS/Healthcare Provider certification. Strong communication and patient interaction are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience in a clinical setting or completion of a Medical Assistant certification program required.
• BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) – American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) – AHA approved required.
• Must possess good communication skills and be able to interact with patients according to their needs.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of the physician or advanced practice clinician, performs Medical Assistant tasks and educates patients.
• Assesses patient needs and applies nursing processes to provide care.
• Maintains required certifications and adheres to safety and quality standards.
